You’ll be a strong informal leader, set goals, initiate actions, motivate your team and follow up on targets. Our buying office is responsible for creating the best collections for stores and ecom worldwide. It is a highly creative environment.

• Optimize sustainable sales growth and profitability for your department with the right quantity at the right time, right place and at the best price
• Set buying controlling vision, goals and strategy together with Head of Department.
• Identify and act on potential for sustainable sales growth and profitability both short and long term.
• Participate in motivating and leading the team towards the purpose and the set goals of your department
• Train and coach your team to be able to work autonomously with buying levels, support to identify reasons for uneven buying levels, take actions accordingly
• Present and communicate goals, results and overall financial information in a clear and inspiring way to stakeholders in buying as well as the rest of the organization
• Set the sales plan, income plan and equation per market and/or channel according to the vision and goals
• Continuously monitor buying levels per channel, department, market and period and take action where needed
• Seek out future buying controlling trends and develop/adapt new ways of working

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

This role would ideally suit someone that is currently already working in a data driven role such as a merchandiser or financial planner. In addition, we also look for someone with the following skills & qualities:

• Excellent excel skills, including knowledge of advanced formulas such as v-lookup and working with pivot tables
• A genuine interest in the fashion industry & the COS brand
• Strong analytical skills
• Result driven with excellent business sense.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills
• A background within business, finance or economics would be beneficial.
