Job Description

As a key member of the team you should demonstrate the ability to show initiative and flexibility in answering queries from staff across our services and the IPC Team. You will be proficient in IT skills such as Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel and Power Point, effectively minute meetings and document actions.

  • To provide efficient and effective administrative and clerical support to the IPCT across the organization
  • To deliver a wide range of both routine and more complex administrative tasks in order to support the effective and efficient delivery of the Trust Infection prevention and control agenda
  • To support the accuracy, maintenance, and development of data/ reports and information systems in response to changing needs and to ensure effective implementation.

Support the management of IPCT diaries by organizing or supporting the organization of appointments and site visits (including preparing papers, inviting attendees, travel booking etc.). Support the management of IPCT diaries by organizing or supporting the organization of meetings by

  • Inviting attendees, booking venues, sending reminders in a timely manner.
  • Collating/ preparing papers, distribute documents or materials as required by the team
  • Take accurate minutes or notes at meetings and other events.

Support the organization’s assurance process by

  • Prepare agendas for meetings in discussion with the IPC Leads
  • Coordinating and collating Hand Hygiene data including sending out monthly and quarterly reminders to all participating teams and service managers.
  • Inputting accurate data on the agreed system(s) when IPC Environmental and other relevant clinical audits have been carried out or completed.
  • The production of tables and graphs for reports to reflect the IPC activities in the Quarter and Annually.
  • Accessing and collating Data from the IPC incident reporting database Datix to report Incidences themes quarterly.
