Job Description

You will work within a friendly and experienced team of professional and academic staff, who support a diverse range of partnership building activities and events building engagement with alumni, business and entrepreneur audiences. The team supports the School and where appropriate, individual subject groups, programme teams and academic staff.

Main Responsibilities

  • You will support the successful implementation of Enterprise and Entrepreneurship projects within the Hertfordshire Business School, and you will contribute to the Commercial and Professional Development team where appropriate with key administrative duties, such as meeting schedules, data maintenance, purchasing, invoicing, room bookings, hospitality, reprographics and artwork.
  • You will be required to handle enquiries from external contacts, staff, and students, ensuring that a professional service is provided in a timely manner and liaise with internal and external stakeholders on the delivery of projects.
  • You will support the marketing and promotion of enterprise campaigns and initiatives, assist with the delivery of events, conferences, networking meetings and seminars (this may include occasional early morning, evening or weekend working) and you will be required to undertake any other duties as required by the Associate Dean Corporate and Professional.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

You will have good interpersonal skills and can establish rapport with internal and external stakeholders. You should be a confident communicator (verbal, written and on social media).

Proven administrative experience and good IT skills are essential, including a good working knowledge of MS 365 including Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint) Forms, Sway and Stream. You will also have a working knowledge and experience in social media platforms. An interest and knowledge of Enterprise support in Higher Education would be advantageous.

You will be educated with 5 GCSEs, including Math and English at grade C/4 or above, or equivalent level qualification, or proven professional work experience. Holding A level qualifications, or equivalent level is desirable.
