Financial Controller

Job Description
- Key member of the Finance leadership team, contributing to the department strategy and vision.
- Provide leadership and direction through your direct reports, accountable for the performance of a critical team in the Finance function covering a wide variety of disciplines (accounting, reporting, treasury, financial operations)
- Oversee all company accounts and investments, ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded and reported in accordance with the relevant standards and that statutory deadlines are always met
- Implement an effective reporting system that captures all critical financial data to report financial and operational KPIs.
- Appropriate requirements and quality will to be delivered for non-financial metrics through close work with the Programme Management Office team and relevant divisions, requiring strong cross-functional collaboration and influencing skills
- End to end ownership for monthly reporting, delivering high quality, clear and appropriate outputs for audiences ranging from cost Centre mangers through to the Board.
- Build the team's understanding of the business and work closely with the Commercial Finance to ensure longer term implications are well understood
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Strong financial control and accounting experience
- Demonstrable team leadership experience
- Experience of managing large teams
- Significant process improvement experience
- Strong Capex / working capital experience
- Experience of working in mid / large corporate business environments
- Hands-on, proactive approach
- Problem solving mentality
- Comfortable in fast paced working environment
- Adaptable to change
