Job Description
You will deliver comprehensive and insightful analysis of spend and income against budget plans. You will work closely with Directors and Heads of Service, to ensure high support, professional challenge and compliance in shaping future service delivery.
You will also support the council in the production of the Statement of Accounts, Government returns and the Medium Term Financial Forecasts.
The Finance Business Partner will be expected to build trust and professional credibility with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure financial insight and advice adds value, resources are targeted to deliver better outcomes and facilitates the achievement of Southend-on-Sea's 2050 ambition
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You must be a qualified accountant (CCAB) Accountant and have experience is a large or complex organisation, and strong technical skills. A high level of EXCEL skills are crucial, You must be professional and confident in discussions with all members of the Council and external parties.
