Job Description
This sales support role involves logistics coordination, liaising internally with sales teams, finance and satellite offices, as well as externally with international clients and suppliers. You will be looking to work in a busy and lively office environment, being a committed and ambitious individual.
Duties include:
- Supporting the sales team with logistics coordination
- Monitoring orders from through to delivery using various systems, including developing and implementing logistics processes
- Maintaining and monitoring orders and completing relevant documentation, order status reporting
- Liaising with business customers to arrange shipments, coordinating all logistics activities as well as resolving contractual disputes with vendors
- Maintaining excellent working relationships with suppliers and customers
- Evaluating performance of vendors
- Resource planning to meet ordered and projected workload
- Liaising with suppliers to ensure deliveries are on time or earlier than scheduled
- Coordination of deliveries of orders and handling any issues which arise
- Supporting management and representing the team at meetings
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
We are seeking an excellent sense of time management and organizational ability, strong problem-solving skills and a calm but proactive approach. You will also require excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to negotiate with suppliers and customers, strong IT skills, including MS Excel. You will be extremely customer focused and be able to think strategically.
