Job Description

You will be providing a proactive and high-quality debt recovery service administering a portfolio of outstanding sundry debts. This will include using a range of tools such as tracing individuals and utilizing debt collection agencies, as well as liaising with officers across the council to seek recovery of a wide range of debts.

You will be working within a team which delivers a broad range of financial activities relating to accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and banking. Although your focus will be the recovery of debts, you will be required to support the wider team when required to meet the team’s objectives.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Be educated to GCSE level or equivalent
• Have relevant experience of chasing debts from individuals and organizations
• Have experience of working in an office environment
