Job Description

You will be responsible for controlling and maintaining all financial areas of the practice, duties to include: preparation of the firm’s management accounts and annual statutory accounts, tax returns, VAT returns, cash flows, budgets and general bookkeeping duties. You will also be responsible for areas such reviewing and improving internal controls, systems, processes and procedures and improving the firms overall efficiency and profitability. You will also be in charge of implementing new software packages in the firm. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

To be considered for this new role (April 2022) you must be an ACA or ACCA qualified Financial Controller or Finance Manager with at least 2 years of PQE. You will be looking to work in a part time role, either 3 or 4 full days a week or 5 days with reduced hours. You will either be working as a Finance Manager or Financial Controller in industry or you will currently be working in practice in a client facing role and looking to move into an internal finance role in a niche accountancy firm. You must have strong technical and communication skills, strong academics, as well as being able to work by yourself and work to tight deadlines. You will report directly to the owners of the business and also be responsible for many ad hoc projects within the firm.
