Responsible for management accounts, accuracy of reporting and control of expenditure.
Ensuring compliance with IFRS accounting policies and wider Group reporting deadlines.
Oversee external compliance for all entities (VAT, Payroll, Corporation Tax).
Management of external audit including preparation of the Statutory Accounts.
Co-ordinate with Group Tax Department to ensure compliance.
Being a business partner for the company, working closely with the senior management team and the other department teams on a variety of projects.
Managing the ad hoc HR needs via the PeopleHR portal.
Be the financial eyes and ears of the business team identifying and resolving issues before they occur and adding value to the business in both financial and non-financial matters.
Develop a detailed understanding of the revenues and costs of the business.
Prepare and deliver the group consolidated budgeting and forecasting processes
Completing ad hoc projects and analysis and process improvements.
Provide commercial financial support, insight and analysis as required.
Ensure a strong controls environment.
Managing, supporting and developing 2 direct reports.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with substantial post-qualified experience in an FM/FC role.
Previous experience of running a month-end process is mandatory.
Prior exposure to budgeting & planning and/or business partnering is preferred.
Strong communicator who can liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficient with IFRS reporting standards with ideally some exposure to statutory accounting.
Excellent IT skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
Highly organized and able to multi-task.
Problem solver.
Media experience preferred but candidates with a retail/ecommerce/consumer brands background will also be considered.
