Maintain and manage the nominal ledger for the company
Preparation of monthly management accounts and supplementary information
Preparing monthly KPI’s
Maintenance of fixed asset register including depreciation journals, disposals and annual review
Completing bank reconciliations and posting transactions to ensure accuracy
Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
Prepare quarterly Vat returns ensuring correct accounting and Vat treatment
Prepare monthly accruals and prepayments
Prepare year end schedules for auditors
Reviewing supplier payment runs
Complete statutory and statistical returns
Maintain and improve processes and develop new processes and procedures as required
Monitor agreed debtors and creditors and take any necessary action
Support with operational and commercial analysis activities
Ongoing projects include system implementations
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Prior experience in an Assistant Management Accountant or Management Accountant role, those making a first-move from Practice into Industry will be considered
Actively studying, Part-Qualified, Fully-Qualified or QBE all to be considered - experience and attitude will be primary factors.
Ability to work on own initiative
Ability to multitask and prioritise deadlines
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Numerate with good PC skills (MS and Word essential).
Experience with Xero desirable
AAT qualified and ACCA/CIMA finalist or new qualified
