Job Description

You are responsible for designing, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures for the company’s billing and revenue cycle to maximize cash flow while maintaining and improving internal and external customer relations. In conjunction with other senior finance staff, the project accounting manager will oversee day-to-day operations on all issues related to project life cycle from project set up through project close out process. Additionally, the project accounting manager will evaluate project performance and provide analysis to project managers, finance department, and other operational management groups. This position is highly visible and requires a strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan, and direct the project accounting team.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise project accounting team and provide guidance for day to day operations
  • Provide collection efforts support 
  • Oversee project accounting month end close process by reviewing project reporting to ensure project financials are correctly stated and assist with office monthly reporting related to Project Accounting work and revenue recognition
  • Review of global billing and collection projection
  • Provide project reporting and analysis on key project metrics
  • Ownership of developing project accounting policies and procedures to establish global common practice
  • Provide oversight of project accounting activities to ensure compliance with established guidelines
  • Development and maintain fee estimators and billing rate tables
  • Provide training to project accounting team, project managers and principals
  • Assist in the implementation of new ERP system
  • Provide support as needed for annual audits, tax filings and Quarterly BOD presentation preparation
  • Assist with adhoc projects as needed
  • Flexible expanded hours to meet global office needs

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, at a minimum of seven (7) years of progressive finance, analysis, and leadership experience required, with a minimum of three years of direct supervisory experience
