Management of overall functions working alongside Financial Controller, IT manager and HR/Technical Manager
Managing all monthly reporting including but not limited to management accounts and controls, payments, financial strategy, budgets, and quarterly forecasts
Provide consistent support and advice to both UK and German office regarding all matters focused on finance and operations management
Managing all HMRC matters including payroll Expat staff etc.
Prepare German P&L + Balance Sheet for financial year, send to German Tax advisers
Handle the relationship with banks
Take an active role supporting HR functions, recruitment and staff wellbeing (assisting with expats and multinational staffing)
Setting targets for budgeting, salary reviews, rewards
Sign off on all relevant contracts adhering to policy including IT contracts, distributor agreements and Letters of Credit
Consult with lawyers on commercial issues as required
Constantly monitor any business risks that may arise from changes in conditions of the operation
Ensure that German office risks are covered by the UK policy
Agreeing profile of requirements to fulfil operational requirements Lease negotiations for all properties
Deal with the registration of any share transfers including issue of certificates
Reside over supplier payments and check quarterly VAT returns. Prepare recharge invoice in respect of UK based Japanese staff and despatch to GSM staff
Provide general commercial advice concerning local business environment
Legal/political situation within the European market
Advice concerning business structure and deployment of resources
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Solid Head of Finance or Financial Director within a similar, multifaceted role Excellent experience overseeing growing subsidiary offices in Europe Good knowledge and understanding of Expat management and all process related to the same Excellent background in Accounting management Strong leadership skills managing a multinational corporation Excellent experience dealing with European markets Previous experience dealing with a Japanese HQ is preferable
