Job Description

You will ensure the smooth and effective IT operation of clients, servers and storage infrastructure in the headquarters and datacenters.

Your responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain
    • ADS and CA infrastructure
    • Server- (Windows and Linux) and client infrastructure
    • virtual clients and servers (Hyper-V and VmWare)
    • File, print, SCCM and SQL server environment
    • SAN and storage equipment
    • Data backup and archiving
    • System management and monitoring tools
    • Citrix farm and published applications
    • MDM/EMM infrastructure
    • Collaboration platforms
    • Cloudapps Office 365 and Azure
  • Create scripts to automate standard processes (PowerShell)
  • Contact to system manufacturers and outsourcing partners
  • Working on incidents, problems, and service requests within ITSM tool (2nd level support)
  • Planning and implementation of changes and maintaining the configuration management database
  • Projects
  • Documentation and training
  • Special tasks
  • Participation in on-call duty

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Completed vocation training in the field of computer science
  • Demonstrable professional experience, especially in
    • System and network management of Microsoft platforms (Server 2016, 2019 and Windows 10)
    • administration of virtual servers and MS clusters
    • administration of Office 365 and Azure cloud services
  • In depth knowledge of following technologies
    • Linux OS i.e. Ubuntu, CentOS
    • ADS
    • DNS
    • MS SQL
    • SCCM
    • Citrix SBC
    • VDI
    • SAN and storage systems
  • Customer and service focus
  • Initiative and independence
  • Sense of responsibility and the ability to assess risks
  • Systematic and analytical work
  • Willingness for constant further training
  • Goal and solution focus
  • Resilience, in particular the ability to work in a concentrated manner even under deadline pressure
  • Flexibility, especially the willingness to travel and work outside the normal working hours
  • Entrepreneurial thinking
  • Ability to work in team
  • Good written and spoken English language skills
  • Full clean driving license valid for use in the UK
  • Undergo full security checks to BS7858:2019
