Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Service you will lead the operational Finance team to deliver a professional and efficient payments, assessments, income, Court of Protection and debt collection service.
Managing a team of 13, you will need to inspire the team and drive positive change to ensure delivery of new solutions by utilising new ideas, technology and artificial intelligence where practicable. You will also develop a network of relationships with external organisations to ensure delivery of an efficient service.
Key elements in the role include management of the Assessments service, and the Court of Protection services where the council oversee individuals finances where they lack the capacity to do this. You will also lead the payments and collections teams for the Adults Social Care income streams.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
You must be a strong finance team leader with experience in managing multiple teams, within a complex environment, ensuring performance targets are met. Ideally you should have a financial qualification (AAT qualified preferred) and come from the Public Sector or a complex shared service environment. You must be professional and confident in discussions with all members of the Council and external parties.
