Timely and accurate preparation and review of entities revenue and gross profit, operating expenses and non-operating income including all relevant disclosures to support our Corporation’s US GAAP external filings, as well as local statutory requirements.
Manages a team of accountants that includes their coaching, development and performance management
Works collaboratively with other teams locally and globally to ensure efficient and effective processes that meets all required deadlines
Ensures that accounting practices and policies are adequate and enforced, including the development of local policies as well as ensuring compliance.
Provides strong leadership, mentorship and coaching to attract, develop and retain a high-performing team
Works with other departments to ensure the accuracy of the financial statements, as well as providing support on the accounting for certain transactions.
Responsible for providing all related disclosures to support our group reporting in US and local statutory reporting
Monthly balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation for all relevant accounts
Active participation in continuous improvement initiatives, standardization, re-engineering of processes, reporting and controls, and implementation of best practices, working closely with systems teams
Performs ad-hoc reporting and special projects as assigned
Be a strong team player, who can operate globally, cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization, taking ownership and demonstrating initiative
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelors degree in Accounting or related discipline, and 3+ years PQE
1+ year experience managing teams
Experience in consolidation, financial reporting, and strong knowledge in US GAAP and IFRS
ACA (ideally from Big 6 accounting firm)
Proficient in Microsoft office applications with strong experience in Excel
Experience of Hyperion Financial Management system is desirable
Experience of multi-national US parent organizations
Demonstrated excellent knowledge of accounting and finance principles and practices with ability to apply them in a business analysis situation
Track record of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business, while meeting deadlines
Proven track record in problem analysis with the ability to creatively and proactively problem solve
Track record of identifying process improvements and making appropriate recommendations
