Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, ambitious and innovative Finance Leader to design and deliver the controllership and financial reporting structure we need to support company's long-term success. The ideal candidate is an experienced people manager, highly proactive self-starter with a strong operational and accounting background, problem solving skills and attention to detail. This ideal candidate is someone who will take ownership and drive positive change including evaluating and streamlining existing operational and accounting processes, controls and metrics. This role manages a team of people and has regular interaction with various business units. The role requires you to have strong interpersonal, employee development and communication skills.

What you'll be doing

  • Partner to the company's senior leadership team in shaping a company-wide culture of controllership. 
  • Lead team responsible for accounting, controllership, financial reporting, compliance, finance operations.
  • Raise the bar on hiring, developing, and retaining the best talent to continue building our world class team of finance professionals. 
  • Influence business decisions with effective verbal and written communication, data driven analysis and presentation of alternatives.
  • Prepare and review statutory financial statements and other mandatory regulatory reporting. 
  • Prepare and review various deliverables to support both internal and external financial reporting needs, including analytic commentary and the preparation of supplementary financial analysis for management and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure that the statutory accounting and external regulatory filings processes meet the highest quality standards in cooperation with tax, legal and other stakeholders as required. 
  • Owns continuous improvement, standardization, reengineering of processes and controls to ensure the highest integrity in group and statutory reporting.
  • Being a subject matter expert and go-to person in complex technical accounting questions. 
  • Proactive accounting representation on projects; this will involve active partnering with appropriate stakeholders in wider cross-functional teams for successful launch of projects, reporting requirements and change implementation.
  • Cultivate and maintain external relationships with our accounting, banking, legal, and investor partners. 
  • Partner with our Director of Strategic Finance / FP&A to deliver prompt and accurate month-end investor and management financials and review materials as well as team level financial data for use within our Growth and Operations teams.
  • Contribute to Balance Sheet Working forecasting, reporting, and analysis. 
  • Perform financial analyses and provide insightful narratives related to Working and Cash Flow.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field 
  • Substantial experience in a large multinational corporate environment with exposure to various financial and/or commercial disciplines
  • Preferable but not limited to; big 4 public accounting experience with large sized multinational clients 
  • Certified accountant qualification (ACCA or equivalent)
  • Expert-level Netsuite skills are a must 
  • Substantial experience in end-to-end financial reporting processes, including a strong understanding of statutory filings, internal controls, audits and their related requirements
  • Strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills, with the ability to summarize and communicate important data to all levels of leadership, and in tailoring communication to the audience 
  • Comfortable managing ambiguous situations independently
  • Experience managing multiple projects with competing deadlines 
  • Proactive and results-driven. Ability to correctly set priorities and meet challenging deadlines
