Lead members through priority setting, personal development planning, training workload monitoring and providing appropriate line management support as required
Co-ordinate team members to collect and submit accurate and reliable data required for organizational, regional, and national purposes, using a variety of electronic patient record systems, electronic databases and clinical notes
Monitor and investigate data quality issues as they arise, ensuring any issues are addressed, or brought to the attention of the Data and Information Manager
Work alongside members to establish and maintain protocols and procedures for collecting, managing, reporting and presenting available information
Set clear objectives to support the delivery of organizational goals
Work with members to respond to ad hoc data capture/management enquires and support colleagues in fulfilling these requests, including academic and research
Support the in-role development and progression of all team members
Assist in the recruitment, induction, training, and development of team members
Ensure compliance with Trust policy in all decision-making processes
Oversee the development and production of performance, governance, quality and activity reports, ensuring the validity of the data and delivery within expected timeframes
Present outputs in a variety of forums, ensuring data is disseminated to relevant services
Provide financial and activity information as requested in conjunction with the Trust’s Commissioning and Finance Departments
Respond to unpredictable, short notice senior manager requests to achieve organizational and regional objectives, including ad hoc management information
Liaise with relevant services to develop protocols for routine data collection requirements
Maintain a robust working knowledge of current national, regional, and organizational policy and guidance with respect to data definitions and other information issues. Proactively identify any implications for the collection and reporting of data, ensuring compliance, and clinicians and managers are adequately briefed in a timely way

Maintain a close working relationship with Commissioning, Finance, Coding, Health Records, Secretarial, IT and Directorate support staff to ensure that data is collected and recorded in a timely and efficient manner
Develop relationships and work with internal and external agencies to build data sharing partnerships to improve and expand the data sets collected
Represent company at internal and external meetings as required. Attend and present at organizational, regional, and network meetings. Be a positive ambassador when representing the organization
Respond to general enquiries and relay messages in an accurate and timely manner when relevant staff are unavailable
Report adverse events that may compromise data quality, completeness or reporting to the senior clinical and managerial team in a timely fashion
Work with colleagues in a live environment, i.e. clinics and wards. This may require face to face patient contact and liaising with mclinicians/administrators. Monitor and track patient data in line with patient pathways
Develop a personal development plan annually as part of the appraisal process, working with the Data and Information Manager
Keep skills and knowledge up to date and relevant to carry out specific tasks
Proactively participate in any relevant training and development programmes
Keep up to date and familiar with the Trusts core values, and continuously uphold these values in the role
To carry out duties with a reasonable degree of independence, without day-to-day supervision
Actively participate in the guidance, training, education, and supervision of members to support individuals in their role
Develop and lead on training exercises for members on the data collection, analysis, reporting, preparation, and dissemination of minformation
Assist in the provision of training and support to peers, managers, clinicians and network colleagues in the collection and use of data and information systems
