Provide the administrative support necessary to deliver the school admission, testing and transport processes, at all times having regard to admission rules, the Admissions Code, other relevant legislation and published local policies & procedures.
Be aware of, and as necessary, interpret the Council's School Transport Policy.
Accurately add, maintain, update and interpret confidential pupil records on the Council's computerized admissions and transport database (Capita's ONE) ensuring compliance with all subject access.
Organize, record, distribute and process received documents (email and contact us forms), school place and transport applications, general parental and school correspondence etc. correctly using the appropriate process/system.
Manage records storage and retrieval of files in accordance with appropriate Records Management Policies (This includes pupil data as appropriate on Appeals Pro, DASH, Livelink and other Council systems as required).
Administrative tasks such as photocopying, faxing, shredding, enveloping, franking etc are completed to required standards and productivity.
Liaising with internal/external partners or service teams to print and collate documentation for use in decision making processes (reviews and appeals) and ensure it is securely delivered correctly.
Collate, verify and prepare data for analysis.
Process, check and interpret data following standard procedures.
Identify and action any potential errors in data or outputs.
Schedule / arrange meetings and events as required.
Coordinating presence of head teachers, clerks and officers and where appropriate booking rooms.
Taking minutes and chasing actions as required.
To be involved in processes around school transport eligibility including the recording of parental transport applications.
To co-ordinate the appeals process for the team ensuring cases are ready on time and the availability of admission authority representatives
Respond to enquiries and complaints mainly by email but also via webchat and on the telephone
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
We are looking for someone with a proven administrative background with a good understanding of Office products, databases etc. but who can also communicate effectively with people

Due to the frequent liaison activities, excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
You will need to be highly accurate with attention to detail. You must be able to priorities and work to deadlines.
