Job Description

The role offers the opportunity for involvement at the heart of the Institutes business in a busy, challenging and fast-moving environment. You will need to use your initiative to deal with varied and complex queries, to collect and present information on a variety of matters, and to set up and maintain appropriate record-keeping systems. It will suit an experienced administrator who enjoys working independently while being part of a close-knit team. This is a varied and dynamic position and we are looking for an adaptable and multi-skilled person to undertake tasks in a proactive way.

You will be responsible for general office administration. Act as first point of contact for students, staff, visitors and general enquiries. Book complex travel arrangements for UK and international travel to robot trials and conferences. Make financial purchases on behalf of the ORI through the University’s Oracle Financials software. Organize the administrative arrangements for seminars, and events and other administrative support.

We’re seeking and individual with a good general level of education – A-Level or equivalent. Excellent administrative, planning and organizational skills. Proven ability to manage and priorities a varied and busy workload to deadlines. Excellent communication and proven ability to work to a high level of accuracy with a keen eye for detail, happy to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
