You should be prepared to provide financial reporting and analysis to C-level executives, obtain feedback and make appropriate improvements.
Key Accountabilities
- To ensure targets are met and collections are received in a timely manner
- Demonstrated pro-active approach towards personal development and raised team productivity by 60% by streamlining existing processes
- Reduced Debts and DSO to a Target Minimum per month.
- Ensured all receipts and credits are correctly allocated.
- Managed customer accounts by ensuring any issues and queries were dealt with professionally and resolved quickly & efficiently ensuring no Payment Delays.
- Prepared analysis of bad debts including making recommendations to the Finance Director for proposed bad debt write offs
- Responsible for reconciliation of all accounts receivable general ledger accounts for the month end close process
- Weekly Bank reconciliations in multi-currency
- Produced daily reports for cash flow forecasting, reports for the Finance Director and ad-hoc reports.
- Responsible for setting up customer credit accounts and ensuring customer accounts are not exceeding the credit limit
- Using own initiative to solve problems within a timely manner and maintain a query log.
- Established and maintained great customer relationships to maximize account performance.
- Identified accounts that required special resolutions by consulting the Sales Representative and or escalating to management for reasonable resolution
- Maintained accurate and up-to-date customer details and account records.
- Obtained sufficient information to assess the credit-worthiness of newly proposed and existing customers and ensured that all clients meet the company requirements.
- Updated 1,000 accounts, achieving talk time and money collection targets
- Achieved both individual and team goals
- Experience with invoice financing and achieving collection targets based on internal KPIs set by Finance Director.
Hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong critical thinking and decision making skills. He/she will play a major role in maximizing revenue and mitigating credit risk. He/she will collaborate with the sales department and operations team to implement an effective credit control system and resolve loan issues. Experience interacting and working with customers is important to ensure their needs are met and their credit fits in with the current risk portfolio.
You should also understand when its appropriate to renegotiate payment plans.

- At least a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics or related field
- Proven track record of making successful credit decisions
- Familiarity with data entry and analysis
- The ability to listen to customers and negotiate winning solutions
