Job Description
Provide HR advice and support on people issues, culture change and business processes.
Manage employee relations casework including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, TUPE transfers and redundancies.
Apply HR and business knowledge evidencing appropriate decision-making skills.
Advise managers on terms and conditions of employment including guiding and encouraging them to demonstrate employment best practice.
Assist in the development of HR policy, procedures and initiatives to drive performance, business improvement and mitigate disputes.
Assist managers to implement policies, including learning & development and employee wellbeing.
Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
Liaise with Payroll Manager regarding starters and leavers.
Support the recruitment and onboarding process – this may include writing job descriptions, conducting interviews and supporting managers with the induction process etc.
Carry out new starter inductions at Head Office.
Continuously monitor and review HR policies and processes and make recommendations to the Head of HR regarding changes or updates where necessary.
Oversight of the HR platform in operation across the business.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Support the drive for alignment between HR strategy and business goals.
Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation.
Support change management processes – particularly in relation to the transition to an Employee Ownership Trust.
