Funeral Services Partnership was founded in 2007 by Phillip Greenfield, who was a founding shareholder in the Fairways Partnership some years earlier. FSP’s model is based on acquiring independent funeral directors, retaining their heritage - a major asset - and putting in investment, training and improved processes in order to build a brand with a reputation for absolute reliability, trust and quality. FSP’s name for integrity and honesty attracts funeral directors. They appreciate FSP’s deep knowledge of the sector-many of the senior staff were born and raised in family run funeral businesses themselves - and its commitment to building each acquired company’s business while retaining its identity within its community. Despite FSP’s low-key approach to growing its business, it conducted funerals for over a thousand people in its first year, and today there are over 70 branches in towns and cities from the south coast of England to Yorkshire. It continues to grow rapidly and is creating a modern and well-run business built on the foundation of the best traditions of the profession in a highly fragmented market. Above all, FSP offers a sensitive but professional service to grieving families and is leading the way in shaping and setting new standards in our honourable and historic profession. Our success depends on the quality of our staff and the cultural values they bring to their everyday tasks. It is important to us that we are a company that people want to work for and with whom our clients feel valued, respected and cared for. We are looking for colleagues who exhibit personal qualities consistent with our core values of a caring and understanding approach, respect and courtesy towards the deceased and their families and who are professional at all times, striving for the highest standards of service. We provide continuing in-house and external training to all staff at all levels to maintain the excellent standard of service for which we constantly strive. We support our staff both in time and financially to achieve professional qualifications such as the NAFD National Diploma in Funeral Directing and the Bath University Foundation Degree in Funeral Services
