About Us

Denholm is excited to be working in partnership with Confor, The Confederation of Forest Industries. They represent circa 1,400 members across sustainable forestry and wood-using businesses and are looking to strengthen the senior team with the appointment of this important role that will take responsibility for heading up Finance, HR, as well as fulfilling the role of Company Secretary. It is anticipated that the role will be delivered in a part-time capacity (2-3 days a week). The organization employs 14 staff, with this position reporting to the CEO. Strong financial management is key to success in this role and will require a blend of day to day financial management duties allied to a strategic approach. You will develop, manage, and monitor budgets across the business, deliver monthly management accounts and reporting, manage day to day banking issues, as well as liaising with auditors. Allied to this will be the experience to bring a strategic approach that will strengthen the organization’s financial management capability and ensure it is central to key board decision making. You will also manage all HR activities to ensure a consistent company HR policy is applied across all areas including employment contracts, payroll, and pensions as well as providing support and advice to the CEO. Lastly, you will take responsibility for relevant submissions to companies house in regards to annual returns, new directors, and updated company articles.
