Our purpose is to improve people’s lives by delivering integrated leading edge smart infrastructure solutions to meet national needs across the UK’s energy, water, transportation and defence markets. Costain has been improving the lives of people through infrastructure since 1865. We have a history spanning 150 years and during that time have been involved in some of the world’s major projects. Some local projects you may recognise include the Thames Barrier; raised more than 80 times since the 1980s to prevent London being flooded. Also, we’ve been involved in the construction of the Channel Tunnel and the Channel Tunnel Rail Link, including the revitalisation of St Pancras Station to accept Eurostar trains.
