In addition to North America, the company has offices in Africa, Asia/Pacific, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East. Customers include companies in the automotive, electronics, food, and pharmaceutical industries. World Courier specializes in managing the transportation of materials involved in clinical trials of drugs, and its network of facilities includes several locations devoted to temperature-controlled storage of pharmaceutical products. Chairman James Berger founded the company in 1969. The company is looking to tap emerging international markets. As Turkey has shown a great potential for pharmaceutical companies, World Courier opened an office in Istanbul in early 2011. It launched a new regional distribution facility in Singapore in mid-2010, and is expanding its operations in India, Russia, South Africa, and multiple countries in South America including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Perú
