UK-based Amey plc was founded in 1921 by William Amey as an Oxfordshire-based quarry operator. Today it is an infrastructure support service provider that also manages rail lines, highways, and local roads. In addition, the company offers a variety of facilities management, business process outsourcing, and consulting services. Amey's clients come from the public and private sectors in aviation, defense, education, and transportation. Since 2003 it has been a subsidiary of Spanish company Grupo Ferrovial, S.A.. The company retains its Oxfordshire links, with its head office located on the Oxford Science Park in Oxford.
