Costain is a key member of the Smart Motorway Alliance (SMA) which will deliver improvements to the strategic road network (SRN) over a 10-year period. The Alliance will work collaboratively to increase lane capacity in the SRN by embedding roadside technology and converting hard shoulders to all-lane running. The Head of Finance – Smart Motorways will lead the financial management of Costain’s Smart Motorways Alliance contracts, working with the Project and Commercial Managers to ensure strong operational control, timely reporting and forecasting and risk management. Costain has been improving the lives of people through infrastructure since 1865. We have a history spanning 150 years and during that time have been involved in some of the world’s major projects. Some local projects you may recognize include the Thames Barrier; raised more than 80 times since the 1980s to prevent London being flooded.
