Ashby School, a 14-19 Academy, is consistently one of the highest performing state schools in North West Leicestershire. Students thrive in a hi-tech, caring environment where innovative teaching, an extensive extra curricular programme and a strong system of pastoral care ensure that they are given the tools and support they need to achieve their goals. Use of the latest technologies - particularly the immersive learning hub - has attracted interest and plaudits from experts in teaching and learning across the country and beyond. The school, which has a proud history dating back to 1567, has been extensively modernised to create a bright and bespoke learning environment. The purpose built Sixth Form Centre has its own study, social areas and bistro and is one of the largest and most successful in Leicestershire with more than 600 students following post-16 courses, the vast majority continuing their education at their first choice university.
