Established in 1991, Newlife is now the UK's largest charity funder of children's specialist disability equipment. Newlife Nurses also support thousands of families through our free Nurse manned helpline. With the support of people just like you, we are making a real difference to children right across the UK. We have interesting and enjoyable volunteer roles available to suit all ability levels and time commitments. We also offer a variety of work experience placements where you can gain new skills or improve the ones you have. Whether you are interested in retail or warehousing or just want to improve your confidence and CV we have a role to suit you. Whilst these roles are voluntary, there are many benefits you will enjoy including learning new skills, meeting new people, gaining confidence and having a great time. Regular volunteers receive discounts to use at our retail stores and we supply personal references to help you gain that next job. You are welcome to volunteer with a friend, a carer or anyone else who can support you in your volunteering. Whether you want to help on a regular basis, short term or even just at a one off event, there are many interesting and rewarding ways you can volunteer with Newlife. At Newlife, our mission, simply put, is to change the lives of disabled children and their families. We provide access to the vital equipment they rely on, offer information and support through our team of dedicated healthcare professionals, sponsor pioneering medical research into the causes of birth defects and offer families a voice through our campaigns for change. We are not like any other charity. All the stock in our stores is new, donated by retailers, allowing us to create a heaven for bargain hunters and savvy fashionista shoppers who want high street products at discount prices. What we do and how we do it is unique and being a “Newlifer” is very special. Our team members are passionate about what they do and the contribution they make in helping the families we work with.
