About Us

Canterbury Environment Company is a new local authority trading company wholly owned by Canterbury City Council to deliver Waste Collection and Street Cleansing services within the Canterbury district. The establishment of Canterbury Environment Company marks a new chapter for the City Council, with the service being provided by an outsourced, privately-owned, company for over the past two decades. The district is a great place to work. Nestled in the Garden of England in East Kent, it covers the bustling city of Canterbury with its World Heritage Sites and three universities, the popular coastal towns of Herne Bay and Whitstable as well as 24 beautiful villages.
