For over a decade Oasis Community Learning has been helping children reach and realise their potential, with the vision of providing “exceptional education at the heart of the community”. All 47 of our Academies are committed to achieving this vision through developing character, competence and sense of community with every child. We aim to provide a rich educational experience underpinned by our philosophy of education; inspirational leadership, deep learning and healthy communities. We hold an expansive vision of the role that education can play in contributing to building strong and vibrant communities and our Academies are all part of community hubs. This wider educational experience is an important feature of our Academies. Born out of the global charity Oasis, the overarching ethos is reflected throughout the Oasis family; Equality, Inclusion, Healthy Relationships, Hope and Perseverance. Driven by a strong sense of social justice, our exceptional staff and Academies apply high expectations and raise the bar of what all pupils can achieve regardless of their context or starting point. Our academy We are a large secondary academy and sixth form based across two specialist campuses on the Isle of Sheppey in Kent. Our unparalleled range of facilities allows us to teach a dynamic, academic and vocational range of subjects to suit the passions and aspirations of our young people. Our academy is improving day-by-day as we grow and are welcoming one of our largest year 7 and sixth form cohorts this September. We leave no child behind at OA Sheppey and foster strong links with community services to support the island to flourish beyond the school. It’s a really exciting time to be part of the Sheppey family. Being part of the Oasis Community Learning multi-academy trust we also benefit from support and sharing of best practice from our regional schools, Regional Director and wider Oasis family, including the Oasis Curriculum specialists and resources.
