Formed in 1985 by Sr. Stanislaus Kennedy, Focus Ireland works with people who are homeless or at risk of losing their homes across Ireland by providing support services and housing. Focus Ireland works to combat and prevent homelessness through over 80 services nationwide and also works though advocacy, research and campaigning to inform and influence the State’s response to homelessness to ensure that the rights of people experiencing homelessness remain on the political agenda. Focus Ireland’s property arm, Focus Housing Association, is a separate charity and Approved Housing Body working hand in hand with Focus Ireland to deliver and manage our housing stock. Focus Housing Association is one of the ten largest Approved Housing Bodies in Ireland and currently rents out approx. 1,100 homes nationwide to families and individuals who would otherwise be facing homelessness.
