About Us

We are committed to making Cambridgeshire a safer place to live in, work in or visit. We pride ourselves in delivering a service with integrity, sensitivity and respect. The constabulary employs around 1400 officers and 200 Police Community Support Officers to cover an area of more than 3,500km2 and a resident population of around 0.7 million. Cambridgeshire continues to be one of the fastest growing areas with an expected population growth of a further 25 percent by 2031. Despite this, Cambridgeshire remains one of the safest counties in the country, due to our focus on safeguarding the most vulnerable, supporting victims of crime and robustly investigating and bringing offenders to justice. UK policing has never been so complex or challenging but never has there been a better or more exciting time to join us. We’re creating a new force legal services department, to better respond to these challenges, and we’re recruiting for an appropriately skilled individual to provide administrative and business support to this team. Internal applicants within Cambridgeshire Constabulary, should upload either a CV or a completed ‘Staff internal role summary’ form, which can be found in the vacancy documents below. Please note you will be required to provide a statement no more than 500 words against the entry requirements as stipulated in the role profile. External applicants should ensure that your current CV is uploaded and provide a statement no more than 500 words against the entry requirements as stipulated in the role profile. To ensure the recruitment process is fair and equal, please do not include personal details on your CV other than your name. This vacancy is live to those at risk of redundancy and will remain open to redeployees until the conditional offer stage throughout the recruitment process. Any redeployee that wishes to apply should apply through the redeployment portal and provide a statement no more than 500 words against the entry requirements only. Please see attached role profile for guidance. Redeployees will take priority over other applicants at any point during the recruitment process up until conditional offer. Everyone at Cambridgeshire Constabulary takes personal responsibility to help create an inclusive workplace, where police officers and staff respect one another, feel valued for their differences and can be themselves. We are committed to providing reasonable adjustments, wherever needed so everyone feels welcome and can flourish. It is recommended that you download and store a copy of the role profile as this will no longer be available once the advert has closed. All applications must be submitted through our online recruitment website by clicking the apply button below.
