Throughout the proud history of the Trust, the aim has always been simple: to help and empower the lives of children and adults in need. Today the legacy is now helping and improving the lives of young adults from all over the South West and further afield. Our vision is to live in a society where people with disabilities experience the same opportunities to work, train, learn and live. We imagine a society that advocates recognition and encourages everyone to fulfill their true potential without judgemen or limit: a society where disability is incidental. When you have had your offer of employment, you have access to a programme of e-learning to give you a full insight into what we do and to get you prepared to start work. Induction When you join us, you will have a full and thorough induction. This includes information about the Trust and what we do; and then lots of training and information about your specific role. This can included: Adult Protection Training Introduction to Communication Introduction to disabilities Manual Handling Care Certificate for Adult staff And much much more…. You will be supported throughout your career with us from your line manager; Head of Service; HR and your colleagues. What are the learning and development opportunities? Training & Development is important to us to enable us to ensure our staff are well equipped to provide quality services to the people we support. You will receive Induction training; ongoing training both internal and external; on the job training; opportunity to undertake qualifications such as Diploma in Health and Social care or management certificates; development plans and support to do your job to the best of your abilities. We offer supervision and appraisal and opportunities to discuss and receive feedback throughout the year, and we are continually looking for ways to improve how things are done.
