In order to achieve that we need the brightest, most tenacious and most inspiring talent in the world - that’s where you come in! Founded in 2009, we’ve continued our growth to become one of the biggest EV charging companies in the UK, and we’re not stopping there. The electric vehicle market is exploding - in 2020 only 1% of all new cars registered were fully electric, nowadays EV sales make up over 20% on a monthly basis. All these cars are going to need charging, so there is a massive opportunity to sell our awesome charging solutions for the home, workplace, and public charging. At Pod Point, we’re not just about building our balance sheet - we've got a loftier goal than that. We believe that every business should be tackling a major world issue - ours is to ensure that travel doesn't damage the earth and building our network of Pod Points is our contribution towards that larger goal. But we don’t see our social mission as diluting our desire to build a successful company - we see it as our key success factor. We currently have over 500 employees and as a remote-first business, you can work from pretty much anywhere within the UK. We have grown rapidly over the last few years to respond to the market needs, but have worked super hard to retain the great culture that makes Pod Point an amazing place to work, even remotely.
