Job Description

This is a rare part time opportunity for a qualified Financial Accountant to work approximately 4 days pw (.75 hours of a normal working week) with our client in Hull. Candidates should be ACA/ACCA qualified and candidates from professional practice are welcome to apply.

THE ROLE:

-Reporting to the Financial Controller the role will include the preparation of statutory accounts and accounting for group companies
-Overseeing the annual audit process and preparation of the Group corporation tax computations
-Take responsibility for the balance sheet reviews and ensure that the business has appropriate and robust financial processes and controls in place
-Provide support to the Financial Controller with ad hoc duties as and when required

A salary of £30,000 based on .75 of the annual full time hours + a generous benefits package including private healthcare and death in service benefits

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified and have previous experience of preparing statutory accounts and group consolidation, audit preparation, balance sheet analysis and reconciliations, corporation tax and VAT knowledge -A high degree of systems literacy (particularly with Excel), excellent communication skills both written and verbal and a methodical, organised approach -Able to work to tight deadlines you are a good problem solver and communicate easily at all levels
