Job Description

This role will involve but not be limited to;
Progress the works on site to meet the program and achieve the quality required
Implement on site the Quality and Environmental Management Procedures
Ensure that sites achieve the highest standards of Health & Safety. Proactively manage all operations in accordance with the Company Health and Safety Policy, at all times
Ensure subcontractors have supervised and competent resources on site
Produce daily site reports compete with photos, maintain drawing registers and a set of the latest drawings
Maintain and keep an updated record of all subcontractor documentation and registers related to labour, plant, equipment
Distribute and co-ordinate drawings, as appropriate
Continually review and make sure subcontractors are working to the latest construction information
Attend weekly subcontract site meetings and staff meetings to discuss progress and allocation of duties
Liaise with the Senior Project Manager regularly regarding all aspects of the project.
Liaise with Buying Department and assist in the call-off of directly procured items in accordance with program
Implement and monitor quality control throughout the project
Record site activities daily including all potential contract variations, delays, issues, RFIs and design related matters
Carry out weekly inspections related to HSE, fire prevention and quality.
Attend weekly site progress meetings
Attend design meetings, post tender and pre-start meetings as appropriate
Maintain all aspects of the requirements laid down by the Health and Safety Executive, including all reports for the Company's Safety / Security Officer
Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations
Maintain the highest standards of presentation on site throughout the build process


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience and proven track record of delivering traditional housing projects Minimum 5 Years' experience in similar role with major house builders / developer. Proactive in all aspects of new build projects with a track record of delivering projects to budget and programme NVQ/HNC/HND/BSc Hons in Construction Management or similar Trade background with evidence of academic achievement, such as HNC, and ongoing personal development Self-motivated, performance driven with initiative to assess complex situations and make decisions quickly and effectively and deliver excellent customer service Ability to work outside of normal working hours on occasion Demonstrate contribution towards Swan's Mission to deliver effective services, enterprising solutions and exemplary homes and communities Be customer focused Be honest, open and accountable Have a "can do" approach and accept responsibility Have new ideas and always seek to improve
