Job Description

Your responsibilities will include:
 

  • Preparing of outline and development briefs.
  • Preparing and delivering the reports including feasibility and project progress reports.
  • Facilitating anchor workshops and management of outcomes including communication strategies and stakeholder mapping.
  • Preparing the project execution plan (PEP) and project initiation document (PID).
  • Developing, assessing, interpreting and on-going management of programmes.
  • Preparing risk registers and management of the mitigation/management strategy.
  • Coordinating the procurement of consultant, contractors and equipment services.
  • Managing of the design process and monitoring against project teams deliverables.
  • Managing the change control processes.
  • Monitoring and reporting on budgets, cash flow and profitability.
  • Constructing and projecting close-out including client sign off and facilitating lessons learnt workshops.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Professionally qualified consultant Experience of delivering Public Sector Construction projects,dealing with high level stakeholders and familiarity with governance processes, preferably in the custodial estate. Familiarity in two stage contracting with NEC and/or partnering forms of contract. Understanding of contractual dispute resolution techniques. Application of knowledge of the use of different construction materials and their associated time, cost, quality variables. Application of BREEAM and other sustainability criteria. Construction building standards (for snagging), commissioning and handover. Stakeholder mapping exercises. Preparation of development or project briefs and feasibility studies. Sustainability and environmental issues. Risk management processes. Design process and the management of design teams. Financial management of projects. Project procurement routes. Value engineering processes. Construction and project close out processes. Commercial concepts and contract administration. Effective written, verbal and graphic presentation skills. Proficiency in use of MS project and knowledge of critical path analysis. Estimate project time and cost targets throughout project stages. Team working.
