Job Description
  • Ensure governance and compliance within the Region / wider organization
  • Provide full transparency and data required for external and internal auditors
  • Ensure ICFR processes are communicated, followed and updated where required
  • Fully apply the “Fundamentals in Finance” to their role and promote to the wider team
  • Establish the annual planning calendar and process.
  • Lead and support the branch review, contract review and repair review meetings (monthly frequency).
  • Identify and analyze the root causes of deviations to the budget and propose remedial actions.
  • Advise and support the various business areas in the budgetary process.
  • Analyze income and expenses by business, product lines and cost centers, monitor and assess deviation against budgets and forecasts.
  • Analyze the recovery gap.
  • Analyze and monitor cost over-/under-runs by cost buckets, WIP, late costs and loss job provisions of NI, Mod. And EI orders and contracts.
  • Monitor large projects in a cost-to-come model (if applicable).
  • Determine opportunities and avoid risks in the businesses and ensure that appropriate actions are taken.
  • Maintain Cost Center structure and provide managers with relevant actual figures. Highlights deviations to budgets and forecasts.
  • All employees are required to work in accordance with established Company Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current UK legal requirements and Schindler Group safety requirements.
  • Employees must comply with Company Health & Safety requirements and set a personal example of safe behavior.
  • Employees will be required to contribute to the Company safety objectives, where necessary by maintaining/monitoring current safety systems under their direct control and implementing agreed changes (where applicable) to Schindler Ltd occupational health and safety management system.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of Irish market compared to UK market desirable but not essential. Proven financial controlling experience. SAP experience – training will be given on Schindler specific systems and processes. Strong administrative and financial background. Proficient use of Excel.
