Financial Controller

Job Description

well-established business and growing team on a permanent basis. The business has developed and thrived over the last 12 months and has recently opened a new site.

Duties:

· Ensuring that the financial processes, systems, and controls are operating effectively which may include the development of financial models.

· Direct input into the strategy of the business including budgeting and forecasting

· Maintaining Statutory records for the business

· Preparation of monthly management accounts and liaise with auditors and preparing audit packs

· Budget preparation and all related monthly management reporting

· Providing the MD with core information relating to the financial performance

· Review of all management accounts packs

· Overseeing/reviewing sales ledger, purchase ledger, payroll, cash posting and all general ledger entries.

· Handling PAYE and Tax duties, including corporation tax.

· Project management of process changes and implementations

· Management and mentoring of the finance team across the group

· Build and maintain good relationships with commissioners, other stakeholders such as external outsourcing partners, lenders, banks and funders.

· Deal with any ad hoc special assignments, as necessary.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· You must be a fully qualified accountant such ACCA or CIMA. · Previous experience of working at board level within a multi-site health and social care setting is desirable · Good commercial and business awareness · Excellent interpersonal and management skills · Preferable knowledge of the care sector · An enquiring, and strategic mind · Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills · Excellent attention to detail · Experience of managing/motivating a team to deliver results and staff training · An ability to make quick but good decisions · Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and SAGE · Experience of Xero would be desirable. Experience: accounting : 3 years (Preferred). Education: Diploma of Higher Education (Required).
