Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a World leading Company and make an impact with your involvement. The position is based at our regional head office in Warwick (currently home working) and reports to the Credit Fleet Supervisor. The role is responsible for managing risk for both new and existing customers in UK & Ireland and ensuring payment is received in line with agreed settlement terms.

Specific responsibilities for this role include:

  • To set, monitor and maintain the Credit Limit for customer’s accounts
  • To review and action blocked orders to avoid delays to customers
  • To undertake the administration with regard to new accounts, carrying out investigations and obtaining insurance approvals where necessary
  • To control and manage the past due levels on the ledger assigned to you, primarily through telephone contact with customers and Account Managers
  • To identify queries on the customer’s accounts, log queries and raise credits once authorized
  • To reconcile customer’s accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring that the account is running smoothly and all parties agree to the outstanding items
  • To prepare Direct Debit proposals for Shared Service Provider processing
  • To develop a close working relationship with Fleet Admin team
  • To develop a close working relationship with the sales team

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ideally you will have worked in a Credit Control position previously, or have experience of how the function operates.. Ability to work effectively, individually and as part of a team. A keen eye for detail and a high level of accuracy balanced with the need for delivery to the required deadlines. A questioning mindset with a willingness and self-confidence to challenge. Can demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships with your stakeholders at all levels. Proactive approach to work. Strong communication skills, with the confidence to express opinions clearly and the ability to translate financial matters and communicate to non-financial management is essential. Proven experience of process efficiency. To be able to demonstrate a good understanding of Excel, SAP would be desired but not essential. A willingness to get involved in projects and process efficiency. Any previous experience of this would be desirable.
