An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, flexible and professional individual with excellent organizational skills and proven administrative experience to support the Governing Body of William Farr Church of England Comprehensive School.
The successful applicant will play a vital role, supporting our governors in their role overseeing the strategic direction, educational performance and financial leadership of the school, and perform the duties of Company Secretary for the school.
The Clerk will oversee the organization of meetings, typically on Monday evenings at 6:00 pm. They will also record accurate minutes, advice on changes in legislation, policy, governance and constitutional issues and support the Chair and other governors as required.
As part of this role, there is a requirement to undertake a Clerks' development programme (unless already completed) as well as an accredited clerk qualification through the National Governors Association.
The role is school-based, however much of the role can also be completed from home if necessary. It is a requirement of the role to have access to the internet at home and a laptop will be provided. Excellent Microsoft Office skills are required and are essential to fully undertake this role.
