Job Description

The role of the business support assistant/scheduler is to provide confidential administrative support to managers, using appropriate systems, procedures and resources. To also ensure a quality service is delivered to customers, company policies and values are complied with and reporting deadlines are met.

As a Business Support Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a wide range of administrative support to managers and colleagues specifically within your team but also generally across the company. This includes responding to standard enquiries and correspondence, maintaining your manager’s diaries and meeting schedules and undertaking other tasks as instructed.
  • You are responsible for undertaking reception duties and responding to telephone and face to face enquiries. You should deal with callers and visitors in a proactive manner in accordance with the Company’s customer service standards.
  • On occasion the successful applicant will also be expected to cover reception duties and respond to telephone and face to face enquiries, so it’s essential to the role that you have exceptional communication skills, great attention to detail and a willingness to complete tasks to the highest possible standard.

Working hours & rota: 37 hours per week. Monday – Friday. 1 late shift included per week and 1 Saturday in a 4 week rota.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Good level of numeracy and literacy to GCSE/NVQ/QCF Level 2. Proven experience in an administrative role (minimum 2 years). Experience of using IT systems to produce a range of documents, coordinate and manage information, and monitor resources. Experience: Administrative experience: 1 year (Required). License/Certification: driving license (Required).
