Job Description

You will be responsible for the pro-active management of costs and project appraisals across the functions, with responsibility for the timely and accurate submission of monthly management accounts and cyclical financial planning processes.

What You Will Do

  • You will be working closely with members of the Central Services leadership teams across multiple functions. This is a commercially focused role with a breadth of responsibilities, partnering directly with the functional leadership teams.
  • You will be responsible for the timely and accurate submission of the monthly management accounts for the areas you support.
  • Reporting on performance across multiple cost Centre’s to both Finance and non-Finance colleagues, including the provision of insightful variance analysis.
  • Working with both the wider Finance team and Central Services functional teams to drive reporting accuracy.
  • Find new and innovative ways to present data to ensure that the business fully understands the trends, issues and opportunities.
  • Maintain optimal efficiencies within reporting processes.
  • Assess, and where appropriate, challenge functional plans to ensure that all developments support the business in delivering its strategy.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Reporting, budgeting and forecasting experience, along with decision support capability. Track record of developing successful relationships with non-finance colleagues. Strong analytical skills and an ability to communicate effectively with both financial and non-financial teams. Good verbal and written communication skills and proficient with Excel, Word & Power-point. High level of business acumen. Self-motivated, resilient and enthusiastic. Ability to manage own workload effectively under own initiative.
