Responsible for coordinating the activities required to meet and maintain our quality ISO9001 and environmental ISO14001 standards.
Understand and comply with all applicable requirements of the Company’s ISO quality system as documented in the Quality manual, operating procedures and work instructions.
Continue to be aware and up-to-date with new legislation whilst maintaining a working knowledge of all HSE legislation and developments that affect our industry.
Ensure that safe practices and procedures are followed by all employees.
Ensure risk assessments are completed whilst always considering how risks can be reduced.
Outline safe operational practices whilst identifying all relevant hazards.
Record all incidents and accidents whilst also being the point of contact for any investigations.
Ensure self & team conduct at least one Visible Felt Leadership safety assessment per month.
Organize, implement and facilitate an annual safety event for all company employees in line with head office brief.
Manage the Quality Control department and work alongside the existing structure to provide clear guidance and support on all compliance and quality issues.
Effective management of employee relations with individuals and employee representatives through an open and consultative approach to gain “buy in” and to create a learning, innovative culture.
Manage documentation and support the performance of product testing to ensure compliance with respective regulatory bodies.
Proactive management of team and individual performance, through the Lean Manufacturing Principles, to maximize efficiencies, quality and output through an on time, in full approach.
Coordinate Customer Complaints, Queries and Compliance Questionnaires including the tracking of non-conformance issues, near miss register and accident investigation coordination.
Complete any other reasonable tasks or requests as required, in order to meet KPI's.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
NEBOSH qualification. Understanding of ISO 9000 Quality Systems & a trained Quality System Auditor with internal auditing experience. Minimum 5 years Quality and H&S experience. Experience and knowledge of LEAN principles. Strong Technical Knowledge for products manufactured as well as a comprehensive understanding of the Lean Manufacturing Principles and how to embed into all areas of the factory. Numerical, Verbal & Literacy Skills. Able to communicate at all levels and retain confidentiality. Good attention to detail, IT & Microsoft understanding with a commitment to producing a quality output. Commitment to promoting positive attitudes & behaviors as set down in company code of conduct and behavior policy. Financial awareness up to and including understanding & impact on operating results. Experience of managing people, with a confidence to tackle a variety of performance and other related issues, whilst ensuring adherence to HR compliance, processes and policies.
