Job Description

Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, this role is a key position within the finance function, is accountable for maintaining and developing the financial control and reporting within the Group of four entities.

The Financial Controller is responsible for the integrity and timely delivery of the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow. Leading and developing a team of accountants and analysts the financial controller will oversee the delivery of:

· All financial statements.

· Parent and internal financial reporting.

· Group tax compliance,

· Financial control activity including but not limited to balance sheet reconciliations, leasing and fixed asset registers.

· Technical accounting guidance to the Group.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage and develop a team of 11 (direct and indirect), working alongside the Business Partners, Treasury and Transactional finance teams.

· Manage and deliver the statutory accounts for each group company. (Including consolidated accounts)

· Oversee, maintain and develop the compliance and controls environment.

· Ensure all ONS reporting is delivered on time in full.

· Manage the fixed asset and lease accounting and controls.

· Act as key contact for Endless LLP, providing regular and adhoc reporting.

· Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including Board Reporting.

· Consolidation of accounts on a monthly basis. Also maintain books and records of Accounts for TopCo.

· Manage any FRS developments, ensuring impact analysis is completed and required changes implemented in timely and controlled manner.

· Primary contact for auditors and tax consultants.

· Delivery of all aspects of VAT accounting and reporting to HMRC.

· Ensure appropriate tax controls and reporting is in place us – liaising with external tax advisors.

· Drive a continuous improvement ethos within the team and function.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Qualified accountant (preferably ACA) with 5yrs + PQE in a multi entity organization with turnover >£50m. · People management and development experience as well as strong problem solving ability. · Transactional finance experience desirable – O2C and P2P. · Strong Excel skills. · Strong communicator with the ability to effectively work across finance and non-finance functions. Education: Bachelor's (Preferred). Experience: Accounting: 6 years (Preferred).
