Job Description

Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Answering telephone calls and directing callers to the appropriate member of staff
  • Dealing with enquiries and providing advice by telephone, email and face to face e.g. allocations, rent accounts, tenancy, estate and anti-social behaviour
  • Rent and payment queries, taking payments and direct debit payments
  • Staffing the customer reception
  • Adhering to NCHA’s policies and procedures when passing on information
  • Updating information accurately into NCHA’s housing management systems.

This position is for 35 hours per week over 5 full working week days (Monday - Friday 8.30/9.00am - 4.30pm/5.00pm) – plenty of time to fit in your other personal commitments! We have two fixed term positions available, with the possibility they may be extended or made permanent. Colleagues wishing to apply for a secondment must get approval from their line manager in advance of their application to ensure that they can be released from their role.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
From the skills, knowledge and experience you’ve already gained we expect that you will have great planning and organizational skills and the ability to manage your own workload. A good level of numeracy, literacy and IT skills are advantageous as you will be expected to clearly communicate to individuals on a daily basis and input data into our systems. Experience of Outlook, Microsoft word and Microsoft Excel is essential although we are willing to get you up to speed with our fantastic training!
