Role will be part of our Quality Engineering & Assurance (QE&A) Practice. With more than 650 clients across industry verticals and a global footprint, Cognizant QE&A practice is a recognized thought leader in quality engineer and Assurance .As enterprises simplify, modernize and secure their legacy environments for the digital era, robust quality Engineering and assurance (QE&A) is essential. Quality takes an end-to-end connotation and must straddle both legacy and digital systems. Key Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining test automation in Java (CoreJava / Springboot) / selenium with cucumber
• Developing and maintaining in BDD frameworks
• Developing and maintaining REST and WebService automated tests
• Implementing testing infrastructure from the ground-up and maintaining test automation frameworks and CI pipelines using Jenkins
• UI testing, web, and mobile app testing; integration, end-to-end, exploratory, and UAT testing
• Git (Bitbucket) and Jira
• Working in Agile environment
• Code and build components in the framework in order to ensure that a consistent approach is taken which minimizes duplication
• Ensure code conforms to defined coding standards
• Enhancing Test cases using Java programming, Debugging Test Cases and Fixing errors.
• Communicate with customers & participate in planning/review meetings

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Experience developing and maintaining test automation in Java (CoreJava / Springboot) / selenium with cucumber. Experience developing and maintaining in BDD frameworks. Must have hands on experience in any reporting tools like cucumber / allure / serenity. Experience developing and maintaining REST and Web Service automated tests. Experience with implementing testing infrastructure from the ground-up and maintaining test automation frameworks and CI pipelines using Jenkins. Experience with UI testing, web, and mobile app testing; integration, end-to-end, exploratory, and UAT testing. Experience with Git (Bitbucket) and Jira. Experience working in Agile environment. Autonomy, critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail. Participate in scrum meetings. Code and build components in the framework in order to ensure that a consistent approach is taken which minimize duplication. Ensure code conforms to defined coding standards. Enhancing Test cases using Java programming, Debugging Test Cases and Fixing errors. Communicate with customers & participate in planning/review meetings Experience with Appium and mobile application framework development and maintenance (Optional). Experience working on Business and IT transformation projects, ideally with large corporates or for consultancies. Substantial knowledge of Test life cycle including various types of Non-Functional Testing. Ability to demonstrate what is important in ensuring successful delivery of projects across various phases and the ability to flex your approach to the different challenges faced. Exposure to different project types / clients - ideally with experience of complex business and IT transformation. Good knowledge of Agile Methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe). Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly-credible leadership to test teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues. Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building. Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands. Able to effectively deal with conflicting priorities.
