Job Description

You will be checking guests in and out, assisting with all of their enquiries and operating the hotel switchboard.

In addition to this, you will be responsible for: -

  • Ensuring known repeat guests, priority members and other VIP's receive special attention
  • Taking appropriate action to resolve guest complaints
  • Dealing with cash, cheques and card transactions and ensuring that any discrepancies are reported
  • Ensuring that all charges are correctly posted to guest bills
  • Effectively communicating with the team and other departments
  • Maintaining a high level of product and service knowledge
  • Understanding all systems and programmes e.g. Holidex, Opera, IHG Rewards etc.
  • Being aware of hotel availability and take every opportunity to maximize room sales

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To be a successful applicant, you should have customer service experience, preferably within the hospitality industry. Experience using Opera would be an advantage. You must be flexible and proactive. You must be eligible to work in the UK.
