Job Description

Our customer base is Worldwide and across the businesses we deal with some of the largest and most successful companies in industry.

Reporting to Group Financial Controller this position will operate in a dynamic fast paced environment.

Within this position, you will be responsible but not limited to the below tasks:

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

· Direct Management of Finance department of 4 in Scotland.

· Supervision of Finance department in Ireland and USA.

· Travel to USA/Ireland will be a requirement when appropriate.

· Preparation, Review and Presentation of monthly management accounts and consolidated accounts.

· Monthly global forecasting (Cash flow, Profit forecast & Balance Sheet forecasting)

· Tax planning for each site

· Foreign Exchange planning for each site

· Liaise with operations team to analyze job/business performance.

· Liaise with operations team to produce quotations/bids for upcoming projects.

· Assist operations on KPIs and other measurements.

· Identify cost saving potential within the business and execute plan to reduce costs where appropriate.

· Identify and Assist with government grants and any other available financial support.

· Produce statutory accounts and review of corporation tax returns.

· Work with external accountants and lawyers on any relevant matters

· Drive pro-active financial analysis by working with Operations, Sales, and Resourcing departments to provide accurate forecasting and limit any unexpected results.

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· 5+ years post qualified accountant. · Chartered Accountant with appropriate qualifications (ICAS/CIMA/ACCA). · Management experience of finance staff essential. · Ability to present accurate and clear business performance and accounts to Directors & Management. · Management of remote based team desirable. · Industry or client managed tax matters. · Ability to identify areas of improvement and implement these improvements. · Track record of working with non-finance staff to achieve overall company goals. · Forecasting and project job costing experience. · Proficient user of Microsoft packages including Excel and PowerPoint. · Ability to analyze financial data and present findings to appropriate parties to drive improvements into business. · Experience using Xero/Sage/QuickBooks advantageous but not essential. Education: Bachelor's (preferred). Experience: Management: 3 years (required).
